The Scatter symbol does not need to appear on an enabled payline, it can appear anywhere on the five reels. There needs to be two scatter symbols on any of the five reels to form a winning combination. If there is a regular winining combination and a Scatter winning combination are both winning combinations are paid out.

Winnings are calculated by multiplying the Scatter symbols combination payout by the total number of credits bet.
